Welcome to STUSA Youth Flag Football League:
 

Flag Football is a great way to keep your athlete(s) active and involved in football.  Flag Football is a great way to help athletes develop great hand-eye coordination, improve their speed, learn how to run routes, proper Quarter Back techniques, Defensive tactics, communication and team play.

Regular Registration $60

Late Registration: N/A  (No coach or friend requests)  

Close Registration: March 18, 2017
 

NOTE: Your fee is based on the day you pay. For example, if you start your registration during "Regular Registration" dates and do not pay until the "Late Registration" dates, then you are responsible to pay the "Late Registration" Fee.  Payment must be submitted and paid in full on or before registration closes in order to be considered for a roster.

What is included in the registration fee?

What are the age divisions?
 

5 & 6 Year Olds:  (Coach on field)

7 & 8 Year Olds

9 & 10 Year Olds

11 -14 Year Olds

15+ Years Old (Will play in adult division)
 

NOTE: All age divisions are determined by the athlete’s age as of July 31, 2016. 
An athlete can choose to play UP in a division. However, athletes CANNOT play down a division.
 

What happens after I register?

  • After the registration close date, we will assign players to teams and create the roster.

  • The roster will be provided to the Team Manager/Coach at the Coach’s Meeting (see dates above). 

  • The Volunteer Team Managers/Coach will be instructed to contact their players within 3-5 days after the Coach’s Meeting.

  • If you do not hear from your Volunteer Team Manager/Coach within 3-5 days AFTER the Coach's meeting please contact STUSA.
     

What do I need for to be able to play? 

  • Football/Soccer Shoes or Running Shoes.

  • Black shorts

  • No Flat Sole Shoes.

  • No toe cleats or metal cleats (Example: No Baseball cleats)
     

Coach and Player Requests:

Based on registration demands, STUSA will do our best to accommodate friend and/or coach requests. Parents are registering with the understanding that there may be times when friend and/or coach requests my not be able to be met. 
 

Where and when are the team practices?

Based on registration demands, STUSA will do our best to accommodate practice times, days and location. However, these are subject to coach’s availability. There are no guarantees requests will be met. Our main goal is the fun experience and quality training of the athletes. Parents are registering with the understanding that accommodating practice day, times and location is not the main focus.

  1. COACH - Youth Flag Football League

“I do not have that much experience but I want to help?”  Being a coach is a very rewarding experience.  Start by checking the box that says “Volunteer Coach” when you register.  STUSA will provide training that will help you throughout the season. We also have a curriculum set out for the season to help you determine what you will cover in each practice. 

What's in it for you as Head Coach for STUSA?:

  • 50% Discount back from your registration fee (per team you coach)

    • Must attend coach training/meeting

    • Discount awarded at end of season

  • Set the day, time and location of your practice.

  • Spending time with your athlete(s) and being their parent, coach and role model is priceless

  1. Referee

“I know the basic rules, however not that much more.”  We know that our referees are a big part of the success of our league. We provide training before the season begins and a meeting is held after the completion of each game day. These are some of the perks a referee receives as an STUSA. Referee:

*Referees & Head Coaches will receive their 50% discount at the end of the season once they have successfully completed their duties. Referees & Head Coaches will pay full amount of registration fee and will get their 50% at the end of the season. 
 

Refund Policy

San Tan United Sports Academy will consider all refunds with the committee members. You will be notified of our decision within 21 working days of your written request emailed to info@santansports.com. Our staff works hard to put our rosters together right after Late Registration closes, NO REFUNDS will be given after the closing date of Late Registration.
